Scope of these terms
These Terms of Use apply to Matelo’s current pre-launch website and Early Access program. They govern the use of this website while Matelo is under development, rather than a live recreational matchmaking platform.
Pre-launch status
Matelo is currently under development. The website shows previews and examples of planned functionality. Displayed player profiles, Matelo Ratings, rankings, matches, leagues, chats, distances, and product interfaces may be illustrative examples and should not be interpreted as live users or live platform activity unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Joining Early Access does not guarantee a specific launch date, access on a particular date, availability in a particular location, or that every previewed feature will launch exactly as shown.
Early Access
Visitors may voluntarily register to receive information about Matelo’s development and launch. Registration is currently free, and no purchase is required. Matelo may change, limit, pause, or discontinue the Early Access program as the product develops.
Planned service
Matelo is intended to help recreational athletes discover and connect with other players. The current website does not provide the future matchmaking product. Additional or updated terms may apply if and when the actual Matelo platform launches.
Matelo Leagues
Matelo Leagues are a planned future feature. They are not currently available. Matelo does not promise a specific league price, format, availability, or launch date.
Intellectual property
The Matelo name and branding, website design, original copy, graphics, product concepts, and interfaces are protected to the extent legally protectable. Nothing in these Terms states that any name, mark, or design is registered where it is not.
Acceptable website use
Visitors must not attempt to disrupt the website, use unauthorized automated access, introduce malicious activity, interfere with website functionality, or infringe the rights of Matelo or third parties. This is a proportionate rule for a simple pre-launch website.
Third-party services
The website may rely on third-party service providers. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply to services they provide. Matelo does not control third-party policies and encourages visitors to review the relevant information where applicable.
Disclaimer
The pre-launch website and its information are provided on an as-available basis and may change during development. Matelo aims to keep the information useful and accurate, but does not promise that previews, descriptions, or availability information will remain unchanged.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Matelo is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the pre-launch website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Changes to these terms
Matelo may update these Terms as the product develops. The Last updated date above identifies the most recent version of this draft. Continued use of the website after an update may be subject to the then-current Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
